Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Meraje saw a crowd turnout of 44212. Mladost decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Corta - Papac, Tschudi, Vúrbanov - Feribe, Vasiliu, Tonzar, Higuita, Miettinen - Lalatović, Camacho.
Ersan decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players took the field: Jacq - Gunchev, Darch, Dawkins - Quesada, Mekišius, Galaridis, Shepherd, Radinović - Vargas, Doberstein.
After 2 minutes of play, Klemens Tschudi gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. The visitors' Mikey Shepherd was alert on a play coming in from the left, tying the score at 1 - 1 in the 19:th minute. After a fine move down the middle Daniel Camacho nearly gave the home side a goal in the 22:th minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Ratko Lalatović sailed high above the opponents as he headed the 2-1 goal in on a corner kick from Klemens Tschudi after 25 minutes of play. In the 27:th minute, Ramón Quesada came in from the right and could have had the tying goal, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Ersan. Mladost's Klemens Tschudi got himself booked for a foul. In the 34:th minute, the visitors evened the score after Panayiotakis Galaridis made it through the middle and struck home the 2 - 2 goal. Halftime score was 2 - 2. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Mladost, with an impressive 52 percent possession of the ball.

The defenders were clearly outwitted by Ersan in the 47:th minute. The disciplined free kick combination shifted the ball quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. Alfred Doberstein appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 2 - 3. The away team's Alfred Doberstein took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right in the 48:th minute increasing Ersan's lead to 2 - 4. Some fine manoeuvring on the left led to a Ersan goal in the 54:th minute, making it 2 - 5. Veljko Radinović was noted down as the scorer. In the 58:th minute, Ersan worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Mladost claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

Mladost's top performer was clearly Fabrizio Tonzar. Maid Papac turned in a dismal performance, however. Ersan's top performer was clearly Mikey Shepherd. Bryan Jacq was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 5.
