A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 52917 to Gradski stadion. Dubica started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Brenner - Núñez Chacón, Honig, Broderick - Croft, Tyra, Stridborn, Ramén, Preuss - Håkansson, Galip. Ersan tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. The following players had been chosen: Jacq - Dawkins, Gunchev, Darch - Shepherd, Radinović, Mekišius, Quesada - Borgobello, Vargas, Doberstein.

Ersan immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. In the 21:th minute, the home side was awarded a penalty. The visitors protested wildly but the referee was adamant. Hamza Galip easily put the 1 - 0 goal away to give the lead to Dubica. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Dubica scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Adrian Preuss after 27 minutes. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. Dubica enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Dubica almost scored after a counterattack in the 69:th minute, but Hamza Galip took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. Ersan pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Hamza Galip gave Dubica supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0 after 83 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. After this, Dubica lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. Hamza Galip almost managed to score another goal for Dubica, coming from the right, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors' keeper. Dubica's Peter Håkansson was shown a yellow card after 85 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Unfortunately for Ersan, Veljko Radinović was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Panayiotakis Galaridis replaced him. This half belonged to Dubica, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

The most dominating Dubica player was without a doubt Adam Tyra. Adrian Preuss was a disappointment, however. Ersan's top performer was clearly Javitas Mekišius. Ben Dawkins on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
